Play guitar / practise. Alexis is beautiful, as always...
Snap E string. Feck. Practise ended prematurely.
Shower, leave, see client.
Visit chiropractor. Pain. Moo.
Drive to Music Mate.
Acquire new set of gauge 10 electric strings.
Enquire about loop pedal.
Sales person directs me to amp with built-in loop feature instead.
Ohh. Look. New effects.
Need to test. Ask for guitar.
Free to choose any on display.
Take MTM1 Ibanez Blackout guitar.
Ok - semi-wow.
Replace.
Take Dean Dime Razorback, possessed Cemetery Gates edition.
Hold guitar. OOoohhh, look at me. I'm a fucking rockstar.
Holy crap, she was totally awesome. The smoothness of the frets, the feel of the body,
the deep sound of the pickups and the configuration.
The crunchy, thrashy sound of the bridge pickup in "Extreme Metal" mode on the amp is mind-blowing.

Look at guitar, figure the designs are a bit much and will date - also a bit too "death metal" for my liking. Won't buy, sorry. Find more excuses.
Buy amp, strings, wah pedal.
Leave.
Night time arrives. Sleep due.
Dream about Razorback.

Next morning, return to Music Mate, acquire said Razorback.
Return home, play until blisters form.
She's totally awesome.
Amongst Anastasia and Alexis, I introduce Athena.
I now have a love affair with my 3 guitars every other day.

Much work needed on my accuracy and speed if I'm going to justify making such an expensive acquisition for someone who's just a hobbyist.
But I guess that's what I do.
I'll be doing an open mic night within the coming months.
I'll need to get better first, and grow a set of steel balls...
Watch this space...
